Memo for Supervisor and Graduate Students

Please note that all students need to have at least one supervisory committee meeting per year. After the supervisory meeting, the supervisor should fill out a Supervisory Committee Meeting Report  and send the report to Cheryl Erickson. The minutes of the meeting must be attached to this report. Should the student have more than one supervisory meeting per year, the supervisor needs to fill out the Supervisory Committee Meeting Report only once; however, the minutes of each documented meeting should be sent to Cheryl 's office so that they can be attached to the report.
The student's Progress Report should be appended to the Supervisory Committee Meeting Report. The Progress Report is written by the student and should include the following: (i) a 2-3 page summary of research emphasizing progress made in the last year and (ii) the names and value of all awards (stipend, travel, incentive and tuition), abstracts, presentations, and publications since the last reporting period. Students should include any other items that may be of interest to their committee/department (e.g. membership on committees). Students should distribute their Progress Reports to the members of their supervisory committees at least one day prior to the meeting
.
