Research Goal: to understand the role that two alternatively spliced forms of the Disabled-1 (Dab1) gene (Dab1-early and Dab1-late) play in the developing chick retina.

Techniques: In ovo electroporation of chick embryos; yeast two-hybrid analysis to identify proteins interacting with Dab1-early and Dab1-late; biochemical assays to study the role of Dab1 in signal transduction.
