Research Interest Summary

  • Development of tumor-targeted viruses as cancer therapeutics
  • Characterization of mechanisms of virus replication and transformation  
Teaching and Outreach Activities

Dr. Hitt is the primary instructor for Introduction to Oncology (ONCOL 320), a lecturer for Tumor Biology (ONCOL 520), and facilitator for the Discovery Learning Oncology block in Medicine and Dentistry (MED 525/DDS 508). Dr. Hitt is also involved in the CIHR Synapse mentorship program and has participated in activities such as Science Fair judging, the DiscoverE summer camp program , and the Sanofi-Aventis Biotechnology Challenge program
